The school day starts at 8:50 am and finishes at 3:15pm.
The start and end of the day are very important in the life of a school. Please ensure that your child is collected on time. Please ask at the school office for more information on breakfast and after school club.
Start of the day and end of the day
The school gate will open at 8.40am. All pupils will line up in the playground and then walk in to their class when the bell is rung at 8:45am. We ask that at this time, parents do not enter the building to ensure safeguarding. The school gate will close at 8.50am and the children begin their learning.
At the end of the day, Reception pupils will be released from their classroom doors.
Year 1 will be released via the steps leading in to the playground.
Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be brought out in to the main playground and will be released by their class teacher, only when the collecting adult has been seen.
Collecting your child
Only parents/ carers that are on the contact collection sheet can collect your children. If there is a change to this at any time or someone else is collecting your child then please let the office know. Children will not be released to anyone the class teacher is not aware of.
Children in Reception, Key stage 1 and Years 3-5 must always be brought and collected by an adult or family member over the age of 14.
Pupils in Year 6 can go home alone if written permission is provided (Year 5 in the Summer Term).
